I think Mayzie is the most fun role in the show. Mayzie is a Bette Midler type personality, a worldy, brassy party girl. She has a "torch song" in Seussical, I would recommend a torch ballad - a song like "You Be Good to Mama, Mama'll be Good To You" or "Cry Me a River" (jazz standard) or something from Fairly Modern Millie, etc. Off the top of my head Mayzie's rang is Bb-D.
