The Mercedes-Benz 280CE was a variant of the C123 Coupe that debuted for the 1978 model year. This series of W123-based coupes were fitted with Mercedes' M110.984 powerplant, which was fuel-injected 2.8L inline six. This engine initially had an output of 177hp and 173 lb ft of torque, but a technical update for the 1979 model year saw power.

The 280CE model from w123 is one of the most under appreciated classic from Mercedes, maybe because w123 was so common and people didn't really notice the rarer coupé among the numerous sedans.
